Nashville’s Most Romantic Restaurants And Places For Valentines Day

Margot Cafe Nashville

Nashville is a magical place year round.  While we’re a honky-tonkin’, health-caring, publishing capital of America, we’ve also got some pretty good romantic spots for a great Valentine’s Day evening date.  Here are my choices for a night of love in Music City.

Margot Cafe Nashville1.  Margot Cafe (1017 Woodland Street, Nashville):  Nothing is standard here.  The plates, the tables, the chairs, the food all reflect the uniqueness you’d expect to give the love of your life for one evening.  Located in East Nashville’s Five Points, you will absolutely need reservations, whether it’s V-day or not.

2.  The Standard at The Smith House (167 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, Nashville):  Classic tea style atmosphere beckons to a day long gone in Nashville.  Almost in the heart of downtown, try a classic date with everything having a historic flair and class, without the parking issues!

3.  Mama Mia (4671 Trousdale Drive, Nashville):  A sleeper hit in south Nashville, this old Waffle House has converted into one of the yummiest Italian spots in the city.  There is no waiting foyer, so make sure you prepare for your visit and call them for arrangements.  Bring your own wine and prepare for the corking fee.  While it doesn’t sound like Loveville, just trust me on this one!

4.  Germantown Cafe (1200 5th Avenue North, Nashville):  With one of the best views of downtown, sexy lighting and a diverse menu, you’ll not only fall in love all over again with each other, but have a new standard place.

5.  Capitol Grille (231 6th Avenue North, Nashville):  Located in downtown’s premier historic five-star hotel (The Hermitage), Capitol Grill is one of Nashville’s best dining experiences, period.  Take a stroll around the hotel and cuddle in the cold across the street at War Memorial courtyard.

The others you should consider, too…

Gay-friendly:  Suzie Wong’s House of Yum, Church Street District

Singles-friendly:  The Melting Pot, Downtown
