There’s a wonderful new non-profit in Nashville called Worthwhile whose mission is to “renew deserving women from the outside in”, or in other words care for women who have forgotten their own worth by honoring them with a pedicure, a visit to the salon, or a rejuvenating yoga class.

I believe there are two seasons: football season and not-football season. Being my adopted home city (I will have lived here 10 years this August), the Titans have become my second-favorite football team. It has been fun to watch Nashville catch Titans fever as the young team has settled into our city, and has been holding their own.

I visited my home city of Pittsburgh, PA recently, and instead of spending the whole trip at the homes of various family members, I took a little time each day to explore a city I see often but never experience. The same can be said of Nashville. August will be my 10th anniversary of living here, and how much there is that I’ve never seen! What better time than now, when the weather is nice and Nashville needs an economic boost as we recover from the flood, to check out some of the places that we rarely or never see.
